Why Curaçao?

Curaçao is one of the most queer-friendly destinations in the Caribbean. With legal same-sex marriage, anti-discrimination protections, and a long-standing Pride celebration since 2012, the island lives its motto: “Biba i laga biba”Live and let live.

Beyond its progressive values, Curaçao is simply spectacular. Picture: vibrant Dutch-Caribbean architecture; crystal clear turquoise waters; and dynamic blends of Afro-Carribean, Latin and Dutch cultures.

FAQ: You’ve Got Questions — We’ve Got Answers

Is this trip solo traveler–friendly?

Yes! In fact, many of our travelers come solo. You’ll instantly be part of a warm, queer group where connection and community are built-in—not awkward. We'll pair you with another solo traveler for a shared room (unless you request otherwise), and group activities make it easy to bond from day one.

What are the rooming options?

All pricing is based on double occupancy (shared room). You can:

  • Come solo and be paired with another traveler

  • Request your own room for an additional fee (limited availability)

  • Share with a partner or friend if you're booking together

Let us know your preference on the intake form after booking and we’ll take care of the rest.

How physically active is this trip?

This is a moderately active trip. You should be comfortable walking short distances, being on your feet for a few hours, getting in and out of a boat, and spending time in the sun. Most activities are flexible and optional - we’re here for joy, not bootcamp.

I’m trans/nonbinary/queer and don’t always feel safe traveling. Is this for me?

Absolutely. Discover Queer was created specifically with your experience in mind. We work with queer-friendly vendors, support local LGBTQ+ businesses, and travel as a group, so you’re never navigating alone. We believe travel should feel like freedom - not a risk.
